About me

Hi, I am Johann.

At 5 years old, I started judo. By 20, I was a black belt who'd competed nationally and internationally. Today, I train BJJ and MMA with one goal: to become a well-rounded martial artist. But the deeper truth is this, martial arts forged how I think, how I decide, and how I move through life.

On the mat, you learn to decide under pressure. You learn to adapt in real-time, to study your defeats as closely as your victories, and to show up with perseverance, honesty, and respect. These aren't just values, they're survival skills. And they've shaped my vision of the world.

These lessons followed me into a 15-year career in M&A and private equity. I worked across Switzerland, Japan, Vietnam, and Singapore supporting multi-billion-dollar transactions. In boardrooms, I saw the same patterns I'd seen in competition: the best decision-makers don't just analyze more, they have frameworks, mental discipline, and the courage to act when uncertainty remains.

Through my work and my genuine fascination with decision-making, I developed an approach that combines both worlds. Decision-making is never supposed to be easy. But when you adopt a calm, present, and focused mindset and apply a strong framework, decisions become clearer. Doubt decreases. And you start to understand yourself better, which is where all good decisions begin.

Flow In Practice helps professionals make career and life decisions without being hijacked by fear, anxiety, or confusion. Through 1-on-1 coaching, immersive retreats, and practical frameworks, I teach the mindset and tools I learned from 30+ years of martial arts and 15 years of high-stakes investing. You'll learn to cut through complexity, recognize your patterns, and make choices aligned with who you are, not who fear tells you to be.

The goal isn't perfect decisions. It's clarity, purpose, and the confidence to act when it matters most.
